Skincare & Makeup Haul

Hi, I’m here again with another haul. This time it’s a bit smaller than the last ones. I don’t know if I prefer to split it up into smaller parts like this, or if I’d rather wait until I have a bigger pile of things to go through. Hmm…

I will probably do another post in a few weeks where I review everything in here I hadn’t tried before.

First place I went to was The Body Shop. As I mentioned in my Product Empties & Would I Repurchase? I needed a new one of the Tea Tree Targeted Gel‘s. So if you want to know more about this product, head over to this post.

They have re-packaged this and honestly, I preferred the old packaging. Not that it matters all that much, because what I know they didn’t change the formula. Still the amazing, spot-beating miracle gel as it was before.

I loooove The Body Shop‘s Tea Tree range, so when I saw this Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask I was just sold. Especially since my skin has been experiencing a lot of breakouts recently. I used this for the first time today, and so far so good. It did sting a little for a few minutes after putting it on though. That doesn’t bother me, but if you’re sensitive it might bother you more.

Since I’ve only used it once I haven’t seen any effects on my skin yet, other than that it felt silky smooth after taking the mask off. But on the website most reviewers said they started seeing a difference after a few uses. So I’ll just have to continue using it and see what I think.

Next up is this Warming Mineral Mask. I’ve never used this before, but it received great reviews online so I thought ‘why not?’. I love masks that heat up on the face, so I didn’t even hesitate when buying this. I has to have it. I’m yet to try it out, but hopefully it won’t disappoint.

When buying over 450 SEK (atleast I believe that was what the amount was…) you also got a free goodiebag, consisting of a few items from their Shea Butter Range. I have tried their body butters before, and if I’m honest they’re a bit thick for my liking. The only places I use this on is my feet and my elbows, but for those areas I really like this.

The hand cream is also nice, but it doesn’t moisturize my hands as good as my L’Occoitane hand cream which I talked about in my July Favorites.

I’ve never tried their shower creams before, but it smells amazing and I’m dying to try it once I run out of the one I’m currently using. Small bottles like this are also great to bring when travelling.

Moving on from The Body Shop products. I got a new Carmex. Yes, I know I got a new one when I was in England (as mentioned in my England Drugstore Haul), but I somehow managed to lose it when I was in Gothenburg. And since I can’t live without this I had to buy a new one. Between losing my old one and getting this one I have been trying other lip balms, but nothing compares. Trust me on this one.

Okay, I’m going to be honest with you guys: I only got this Origins Warm Down Warming Lava Scrub because KathleenLights mentioned it in one of her favorites. When she talked about it it just sounded like a product I would enjoy. I really needed a new scrub as my old one from Rituals just ran out (I really liked that one btw, it was called the Ayurveda Scrub), and as I mentioned I like when products warm up. In her video she also said this was nice to put on after working out, and it sounded so nice. I haven’t tried it yet, but if Kathleen raves about it you know it’s good.

As I mentioned in a previous post I really wanted to try some new stuff from Formula 10.0.6. I repurchased their One Smooth Operator, which I looove, and got two new face masks to try. I got their Deep Down Detox and their Pores Be Pure. Both of these received good reviews online. Hopefully I like them. Fingers crossed.

I got two concealers, one of them being the Mac Pro Longwear. I ran out of mine about a week or two ago and needed another one. This concealer is probably the most flawless, full-coverage concealer I’ve ever tried. A staple in my collection.

The second concealer I got was the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer. I know, I am really late on the bandwagon with this concealer. Like, extremely late. But I’ve just always thought it might be not full enough coverage for my liking. I haven’t tried it yet though so I don’t have an opinion on it just yet…

I’ve been looking at this Urban Decay shadow in Fireball for such a long time now, and finally I bought it. It’s so stunning, the only issue is that I don’t know what outfits this might go with. I don’t think I have anything it would match with. But as I said: it is stunning. So stunning I got it either way.

I’ve used samples of the Primer Potion in Minor Sin before, and I love it. It has a nice sheen to it which makes it perfect to use as a primer for a shimmery or glittery lid color (which heaven knows I love) to make it look more opaque and shimmery. The primer potion isn’t my favorite primer, it’s not sticky enough for my liking, but until I find another primer with shimmer in it this will suffice.

Last but not least, I got a few free samples. The Chloé Love Story perfume, the Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging eye cream, and the Clinique Smart spf 15 custom-repair moisturizer. I haven’t tried the Origins eye cream, but I have tried the moisturizer from Clinique a couple of times and so far I like it. It’s thick but not too thick, and it absorbes quickly into the skin. I also like that it has spf. I also took a wiff on the perfume sample. I can’t say that it doesn’t smell good, but it not a scent for me.

June Favorites 2016

June has now come and gone, so I thought I’d update you on some of my favorites of this month. This post won’t be long, but nonetheless I thought it’d be fun. So here we go!

IMG_3615

The first item was in my recent Makeup & Beauty Haul, the Orofluido Perfumed Body Cream. At the time I hadn’t tried it out all too much, but now that I have I must say I am obsessed! It has tiny shimmers in it, which is perfect for summer. It makes your body shine in the sun! It looks very natural as well, like your body naturally has that healthy shine to it. Love. It.

Next item was also featured in said haul, but in part 1. It is the YSL Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick in nr. 30. The formula of these lipsticks are perfect for this time of the year, when you just want a sheer, slightly glossy finish. It pairs perfectly with suntanned, bronze skin. I just…. mmmm, I’m in love. And the scent of it is so fresh. I have nothing bad to say about this. Nothing.

Next item is the last thing that was featured in my haul, I swear. It is this TonyMoly Pocket Bunny. Perfect for when you quickly want to refresh your face when it is hot outside. I love putting this in the fridge, then put it in my purse right before I go outside so that it is cool and extra refreshing when I want to spray it on my face later during the day.

Next thing is definitely a must-have for summer! The Rimmel Good to Glow highlighter in the shade 001 Notting Hill Glow. As a highlighter I wouldn’t recommend this one, but I absolutely adore mixing it in with my foundation. I’ve been paring equal parts of this with my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation and applied it to my face using a beauty blender, and it just makes my skin look so dewy, healthy, and glowy. This one is a bit pink-toned, but there are two different shades of this. I must get them all, like, yesterday. No kidding.

Next new obsession is also from Rimmel. It is their Scandaleyes Rockin’ Curves. I love this mascara, and I’ve been repurchasing it and using it on-and-off for about three years now, I believe. At first the wand was pretty hard to use, but after getting the hang of it it’s amazing. It gives crazy volume, especially for a drugstore mascara. It doesn’t give too much length though, which is why I usually pair it with a lengthening mascara (like Maybelline The Falsies mascara for example) when I want my lashes to look outstanding. But for everyday use, this does the trick.

This next item I don’t believe you can get anywhere else than Sweden (maybe even in the entire Scandinavia…), but I thought I’d mention it anyway. Maybe you can find something similar. And it is the Aco Cinderm Summer Lipgloss with spf 15. The bronze, shimmery shade is perfect for the beach. I am obsessed! And it has spf 15, what more could you possibly ask for?

My last item is this Bourjois Bronzing Powder in the shade 51. This is the perfect bronzer, my holy grail. It’s almost completely matte, and it’s not too pigmented (sometimes when bronzers are too pigmented I find it hard to apply it and make it look natural). It’s very easily buildable, and the shade is perfect for my fair skintone. Plus, the packaging is so nice, and it has an amazing scent. Not sure what it smells of, but I like it nonetheless.

That was all of my June favorites! Not too much, but I just thought I’d give you an update anyways.

Makeup & Beauty Haul part 2

Hi there. Ready to dive in to part two of my makeup and beauty haul? This is not only much shorter, but it has all of the beauty products. Ready? Let’s go!

IMG_3476The other day I got these little guys from Sephora. And, I’m not gonna lie, a big reason why I got them was the adorable packaging. But I do actually like both products, for more reasons than that.

I thought the Pocket Bunny from TonyMoly will be amazing for quick moisture and refreshing of the skin during the summertime. And it has a nice scent of peaches. The only thing I don’t like is that the sprays comes out a bit uneven. But I can live with that.

I don’t know what brand the panda is from, but it’s the Panda’s Dream White Hand Cream. Not only is this super cute (I’ve already given it a home out on display on my vanity), but it smells super nice. And if I remember correctly it was also very cheap.

IIMG_3503 got this set of products (the Beauty Elixir and the Body Cream) from the brand Orofludio just a few days ago from my mom, so I haven’t formed an opinion in it yet. The things I do have to say is that I like the packaging a lot. And the body cream smells very nice. It’s not super thick either, which I quite like for an all-over body cream. As for the hair elixir, I don’t have much to say. I’ve only used it once and so far I haven’t seen any results. But I’ll continue to use it and see if it does anything.

IMG_3505This body lotion from NUXE I got from my aunt and uncle as a graduation gift earlier this month, and I’ve been using it after almost every shower ever since. The scent reminds me a little of spf, so if you don’t like that smell you probably won’t be a fan of this, but personally I love it. It’s not thick at all, and it sinks in to the skin super quickly which I love. Although, it claims to be a “beautifying body lotion”, which is supposed to illuminate your skin and leave kind of a satin-y feel. I can’t really say it has lived up to either of those claims so far. But I would still recommend this.

IMG_3508Last but not least, I got the Chanel Sumblimage La Créme. I’ve been using this cream for about two weeks now, and so far I can’t really say anything much about it. Except that it is a good moisturizer that leaves your face feeling smooth. Also, I looooove the packaging. It looks (and is) so luxurious!
